Bill Stuehr and David Lynch will co-present How to Improve Inductor Life, Part 2 as part of the ASM Applied Energy Technical Program at Detroit’s Cobo Hall. We will continue our discussion of inductors commonly used in the process of selective hardening. The focus will be on two inductor types commonly prone to failure: Single Shot and Scanning Inductors. This presentation includes updated photos and case histories of failed inductors along with systems analysis and improvements that helped prevent inductor failures. Also in Part 2, we will discuss inductor modeling, proper design, manufacture, cooling, and quench system maintenance.

On April 7th, 2005 Induction Tooling, Inc. officially broke ground on a new 25,000 square foot facility on a five acre parcel in North Royalton’s York Alpha Industrial Park, Phase II. The $1.6 million dollar project is scheduled to be completed in November, 2005.
